Welcome to Project My Story!
Project: My Story partners a youth volunteer with a senior adult to develop a legacy document that captures history, life experiences, and reflections.
Project: My Story captures incredible legacy stories for the interviewee and inspires young minds with thoughtful insights from lives well lived.
The final product is a report delivered to the interviewee in digital and printed form.
Process: It's Easy!
Determine date/time/location of interview(s). We’ll meet in a quiet space such as a local library, coffee shop or shared community room in a residential care facility.
Conduct Interviews.
The My Story Team will write up a report from the interview and return to the interviewee for their enjoyment and to share with their family and friends.

Privacy: The final product is for the interviewee and will not be reproduced or used in any other way. In some cases, however, the stories and insights gained are just too good not to share! Inspiration for participating youth is a key benefit of My Story. In these cases, stories may be “sanitized” (ie: names and private information removed) and shared in summary form to those involved in My Story. We will always obtain approval before sharing sanitized stories.
Fees & Final Product: My Story is offered as a community service and there is no fee involved. The final product will be produced on a best-effort basis and the My Story team reserves the right to discontinue work if requested by either party.
